Candle Care and Safety Instructions

Burn Time. The first burn is the most important, to prevent tunnelling and to create ‘candle memory’. Always burn your candle until the entire surface of the candle melts. Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

Ventilation. Ensure adequate ventilation but avoid draughts whilst burning your Bella Hope candle.

Putting candles out. Please do not blow out your candle. It is always best to use the Bella Hope lid or a candle snuffer helping to prevent wicks from drifting off centre, wax splash, or unnecessary smoke.

Candle Storage. Keep your candle in a dry and temperate environment ideally between 15 and 26°C. Keep the burn pool clean from wick trimmings and matches. Keep upright and always cover with the Bella Hope lid when not in use.

Trim Wicks before every use. Remove the tip of the wick between each burn. Sometimes a small flower-like shape might appear, this is completely normal in soy wax candles. Gently trim the tip of the wick, it should be clean and approx. 5mm.

Should the wicks require centring, gently readjust to the correct position when the wax is still molten. Allow the candle to set before re-lighting.

Never burn your candle all the way down. Always leave 5mm of wax at the bottom.

You can re-use your Bella Hope candle jar. Place the candle in the fridge for an hour to allow the wax to expand so any residue can be gently removed. Clean with warm soapy water and re-use for flowers, plants, storage, pens, or anything you fancy!

Candle Safety. Protect the surface the candle is on when burning by using the Bella Hope lid as a protective layer. Keep away from children, pets, curtains, and blinds. Never move a burning candle.

Do not leave your candle unattended. Always burn your candle within sight and never near flammable objects.

Burn singularly or with other Bella Hope candles to create a beautiful fusion of scents.
